Privacy

What we collect

When you use Alike, we store the information you provide: your name, email, Esadeclass, location, profile sheet answers, conversation with Alike, and any LinkedIn URL or background text you paste. We use this only to find relevant introductions within the Esade community.

Who sees your data

• Alike (the AI) — reads your profile to have a conversation and suggest matches.
• Matched members — only after you both opt in. We never share your contact details without mutual consent.
• Service providers — we use Anthropic (AI), Fish Audio (voice playback), Groq (voice transcription), Resend (email), and Neon (database) to run the service. Fish Audio is on a free tier whose terms let them use requests to improve their models. Only what I say out loud goes there — not your profile, not your typed messages — but I'm usually talking about what you told me, so treat anything you hear me say as having passed through them. Read-aloud is off unless you turn it on or start a call; leave it off and Fish Audio never sees a thing.

Voice

If you talk to Alike instead of typing, your recording is sent to Groq to be turned into text, and we keep only that text as part of your conversation — we don't store the audio. If transcription isn't available, it runs inside your browser instead. Typing never sends any audio at all.

Introductions

We email you when we think someone is worth meeting. Nothing is shared until you and the other person both say yes. You can stop intro emails anytime via the unsubscribe link in any message.

Community access

Alike is for people in or close to the Esade community. We verify membership with an invite code from an existing member.

Your choices

• Unsubscribe from intro emails via the link in any email.
• Request deletion of your profile by emailing the team at the address on your intro emails.
